To do anything on the Internet  now a days first of all you need an email account, and in most of the cases you'll  require a Gmail account. So it is very important to have a Gmail account of your own. In this blog you will learn how to create a Gmail account step by step.

To get a Gmail id, you have to create a Google account first. You will be redirected to Google account registration page. You need to fill some basic informations like your name, date of birth, gender, country and your phone number. You will be prompted to enter a unique name for your new Gmail id. Once you have done with creating account you can use this email id to send and receive emails.

To create an account here is the step by step method:

Step 1

Type in www.gmail.com on the address bar of your browser.

 

You will sea a page like above after you enter www.gamil.com on your browser. Here it says to enter your email id to login to Gmail. But as you don't have a Gmail account or you have one but want to create a new one. Just click on create account.

Step 2

After you click on create  account you will see a new page as shown above. Just type your first name, last name, unique email address you want to have and password of your choice. You have to confirm the password again. Make sure to make no mistake both the password should be same and alphanumeric. Now select your date of birth from the drop-down menu. Select your gender and select the country and the phone number for verification and password recovery. Then click on continue.

Step 3

In the next page review Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then click on I agree.

Step 4

Here as per the image Gmail will ask you to verify your phone number again and choose the method how to verify your phone number. If you select the text message method, you will get a verification code on your phone as SMS. If you choose to get a call, you will receive a call from Gmail and a computer voice will tell you the verification code. You need to click on continue to Go to the next page.

 Step 5

After you get a verification code on your phone you need to type in the code into the box shown in the image above. Just click continue to complete account verification process.

Step 6

Now click on continue to Gmail and your account is ready. You can write an email to anyone having an email id. You can also read your emails received from others.
